Pulp played their first of three L.A. shows on Wednesday night (9/18) at Hollywood Palladium, and they debuted yet another new song, “Farmers Market.” This one was an option at Pulp’s first Brooklyn show on Friday but they chose to premiere “Got to Have Love” instead. Like all the other new songs they’ve been playing, it made its appearance as the first song of the second encore. A tender, string-laden ballad, Jarvis Cocker dedicated it to his wife who was in the audience. Watch them play “Farmers Market” below.
L.A. Night 1 also got Different Class‘ “Mis-Shapes” and “Monday Morning,” which haven’t been regulars on the setlist, plus all the usual suspects including “I Spy,” “Disco 2000,” “Weeds,” “Do You Remember the First Time?,” and “Common People.” Check out the setlist, photos by Stephanie F. Black and more video below.
Pulp play Hollywood Palladium again tonight (9/19) which should be a special one as it’s Jarvis’ birthday. Happy birthday, Jarvis!
