Patricia Arquette has booked her next true crime murder series.
The 56-year-old Emmy and Oscar winner has signed on to star in Hulu’s upcoming limited series about the Murdaugh family murders.
Per the official description, the still untitled series “is based on Maggie (Arquette) and Alex Murdaugh’s stranger-than-fiction family drama, a riveting account drawing from countless hours of reporting by Mandy Matney – journalist and creator of the popular ‘Murdaugh Murders Podcast’ – as well as exclusive, insider knowledge from years spent following the case,” according to Variety.
Keep reading to find out more…If you are unaware, the Murdaughs were a powerful family in South Carolina and for the past decade, were accused of involvement in a variety of crimes, ranging from drugs to fraud to murder.
Back in March 2023, Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of murdering his wife Maggie and their son Paul. He received two life sentences for his crimes.
Patricia previously starred in Hulu’s 2019 series The Act, in which she played Gypsy Rose Blanchard‘s mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.
