The actor slipped into a plunging velvet gown which demanded a double take as it included several subtle details. The tailoring of Portman’s ensemble was Greek goddess-coded with a gothic twist.
Natalie Portman arrived at the 2024 Ballon d’Or France Football Awards in a stunning navy velvet gown. The floor-length piece features a deep plunging neckline and includes draping short sleeves. The dress is further enhanced with a rope-like knotted belt around the waist, cascading down to the hem. The gown also featured subtle ruched detailing on the shoulder and a small section on the waistline, beneath the belt loops.
In a video shared by Ballon d’Or on X (formerly Twitter), the actor is seen making a grand entrance at the event. The clip also gives a glimpse of the back of Portman’s flowing gown, which was equally glamorous. The gown’s draping came done on the back of the shoulders with thin straps, leaving the sides bare. The behind of the gown also featured a huge V-shaped cutout.
The loose and daring bodice resembled a Greco-Roman dress. Meanwhile, the navy blue velvety tone added a gothic element to the ensemble. Moreover, the star also sported a black manicure. Portman continued to accentuate the look with huge flower-shaped silver rings and matching earrings. Besides that, the actor styled her bob hair in soft curls.
At the awards ceremony, Portman arrived on stage to congratulate Aitana Bonmatí for the 2024 Women’s Ballon d’Or. Later, the two also posed backstage for a photo together. Portman was spotted with several other icons in football, including Luís Figo.
