Joyce Manor played their beloved 2014 album Never Hungover Again in full for its 10th anniversary at Outbreak Fest in the UK earlier this year, they’ve got plans to do it again at The Fest in Gainesville this fall, and now they’ve announced a select few US club shows that will also find them performing the album. That includes stops in Anaheim, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Boston, and Chicago, and making those shows even more exciting, they’ll have support from recently-reunited emo revival leaders Algernon Cadwallader, whose final tour before breaking up was opening for Joyce Manor, and whose guitarist Joe Reinhart co-produced Never Hungover Again. There are also select dates with two of Joyce Manor’s indie-pop punk forebears, The Ergs! and Toys That Kill (the latter of whom JM released a split with the year NHA came out), and more. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.
The NYC date is on December 8 at Brooklyn Steel, and that one’s with Algernon and The Ergs!. All dates are listed below.
Joyce Manor previously played 10th anniversary shows for their self-titled debut album in 2021 (including Central Park), and Joyce Manor’s Barry Johnson recently helped Weezer celebrate the 30th anniversary of Blue Album.
Algernon’s only other upcoming date at the moment is Las Vegas’ new indie-emo festival Best Friends Forever in October. The Ergs! recently reissued dorkrockcorkrod and played some rare shows. These are their only upcoming dates at the moment.
