Ouya publishes bizarre vomit-fuelled YouTube advert

UPDATE: Ouya has confirmed that this ad was in fact put out by the console manufacturer, but it was only meant to “get feedback” from users rather than stay a permanent installation.The company explained this in a statement to Eurogamer, where it added: “We are experimenting with animated content and posted this video briefly to get feedback from our community. The Impact of Women on Gendo Ikari (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

Have you ever noticed how men tend to act differently when they are around women? Compared to when they are not near or are influenced by them, men become gentler and/or may become crazier. In Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of anime/manga’s most memorable fathers, Gendo Ikari, falls right into this shell. In 1963 a record label began on the 12th floor of 156 Fifth Avenue in New York City by releasing its first LP. Bernard Stollman, a 34 year old jazz fan with a law background, had been working with some rhythm and blues and jazz musicians, helping them with copyright and contract issues. News: Original Hardcover Volume One and Two Limited Editions

Clearing through some boxes a few weeks ago, I came across one in particular that I thought contained paperback Volume Three. In fact, it held an old personal stash of the original hardcovers for Volume One and Two, from back in 2005. Given that I clearly didn’t remember that I had these, and I have my own copies, I’m going to make these available to anyone that wants to pick them up. These are extremely limited in quantity; I have nineteen copies of Volume One, and nine copies of Volume Two. These books feature the original covers, and there will never, ever, be more of these printed. These are just leftovers from the 2005 run. Number 1426: Firebrand and the Brick Batman

It appears that the Firebrand, who appeared on the covers of the first four issues of Quality’s Police Comics, was intended to be the star of the comic. The feature was drawn by Reed Crandall, in a style obviously inspired by Lou Fine. Crandall’s figures stiffened up in his later years, looking something like statuary rather than the fluid, action-packed poses of the Firebrand.
