“I’m all alone here!” Shout Studios has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror thriller film titled Last Straw, marking the feature directorial debut of up-and-coming filmmaker Alan Scott Neal. The film first premiered at the 2023 Sitges Film Festival in Spain last year, and it also played at both the Paris & Brussels Fantastic Film Festivals – now set for an official VOD release in the US coming up later this week. A young waitress working the overnight shift alone at a rural, roadside diner finds herself in a fight for her life when she’s terrorized by a group of masked assailants. With no one to turn to, she will do everything she can to survive the night, even if it means striking back. This stars Jessica Belkin as Nancy, Taylor Kowalski, Jeremy Sisto, Tara Raani, and Joji Otani-Hansen. Yet another of these a-young-woman-fights-back horror films, where she snaps & becomes the vicious final girl who slays them instead. Very intense trailer.
