Dylan O’Brien, Eliza Scanlen, Diana Hopper, Caroline Falk, Sam Hennings, Eric Lange and Lauren Ambrose star in the pic, which the filmmakers sparked to after coming across a photograph of the real Caddo Lake online, leading to many visits to the cypress forest that rests on the border of Texas and Louisiana. The film was shot in late 2021 and 2022 in and around Karnak, Texas.
Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, Kara Durrett and Josh Godfrey produced, with Kimberly Steward, Harrison Huffman, and Will Greenfield exec producing.
Known for their directing on series like Dark Matter, Shyalaman’s Servant and Modern Love, Held and George made their feature directorial debut with Topside, a 2020 drama which was released by Vertical following its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
Shyamalan is coming off of the successful theatrical release of Trap, his serial killer thriller starring Josh Hartnett, which has grossed over $76.6M since its release early last month.
