Since August 28, the 2024 Venice Film Festival has truly been the gift that has kept on giving. This year’s splashy cinematic event has been a one for the books. Tonight, the 81st Annual Venice Film Festival held a celebratory closing ceremony, complete with director Pedro Almodovar awarded the prestigious Golden Lion Award for Best Film for the movie The Room Next Door.
To state the festival this year has generated some unforgettable and viral red carpet moments would an understatement – of epic proportions. After all, the past eleven days have bestowed upon us the megawatt fashion moments of Cate Blanchett shimmering in a champagne gold Giorgio Armani Privé, Nicole Kidman shutting it down in sculptural Schiaparelli, Emily Ratajkowski pulling a Tom Ford for Gucci number out of the archives and Julianne Moore gleaming on the red carpet in gold Bottega Veneta.
